PROS: Satin, non-oily finish that helps restore the clean, original appearance of plastic and other surfaces. If you don't like the greasy, overly shiny, silicone-based detailers such as Armor-all, this product is for you.

CONS: The odor can be kind of intense at first.

I use this for all of the hard surfaces inside my cars and even the plastic trim on the exterior. I like the fact that it leaves the surfaces with a satin sheen (more like a new car), as opposed to a bright, shiny gloss. Also, it feels slick, but not oily -more like a Teflon kind of slick. I also use it on the black plastic trim on the exterior, such as the side-view mirrors, door handles, and windshield wiper cowling. It restores the dark, rich look of new plastic and also helps hide minor scratches in the plastic.

I get pretty good results when I spray it directly onto the surface and wipe/buff with terry cloth. I don't use it on glass, so when detailing close to windows, I spray it onto the terry cloth instead, before wiping.

Although I like the scent, it is kind of intense after doing the entire inside of my car; it doesn't bother me, but my wife says it gives her a headache. It takes a day or so to "calm down", after which she is okay with it. Your experience my vary, of course.

Since I can no longer find it in local stores, I get it from Amazon. I don't like paying shipping, but I usually get a couple cans at a time so the final price is *okay*.

Tannery works great on leather or naugahyde. I clean my umpire plate gear with it. Cleans up all the dust and dirt and perspiration and leaves a clean, leather smell.

We have light colored seats on our golf cart. Even though we keep it clean and store in indoors, the seats develop a dull film.

Lots of cleaners available,but many make the seats slicky...not a good idea when carting about grandkids. I tried this cleaner and it does work without making the seats too slick. It does seem to condition the seats and does clean them if you apply enough scrubbing to dislodge the accumulation of dirt, suntan lotion, insect spray, and dust. It works as advertised, but my expectations were higher for its ability to clean built up film on the seats. I would purchase again, but probably not before doing another search to find out what else is available at the time.

The Tannery is the best stuff ever. It cleans and nurtures leather. I use it on all my leather gear. I had a leather belt that I took off of a jacket and found it years later. The jacket was like new. The belt was a bit dry and looked its age. I use The Tannery on plastic interior parts. It leaves a shine that can be lessened with wiping by a dry clean cloth. Makes the interior look new and gives it a leatherish type scent. Some may say it is overpowering, I think it gives your car that day one smell. No one sells this stuff anymore so you have to order it. I also use it on all my leather chairs and living room furniture. It makes the leather look like new. I had some light stains on an off-white sofa from a nearby decorative water fountain. The Tannery took them right off with about 3 applications. Even athletic shoes with leather trim can be shined up with The Tannery. Some leather conditioners soften the leather which is not good if you have a leather steering wheel. The Tannery cleans and leaves that new car sheen. If it is leather or even plastic, The Tannery is your overall solution.
