I got a filter from an auto parts store last time. I have one of those chrome covers that fit over the oil filter, well the auto parts store filter was too small outside diameter and the chrome cover would not fit over the filter.

this filter is perfect. my chrome cover fits on it perfectly

Several web sites, where folks had cut filters open to compare, noted the silicone anti drain back valve, higher filter media area

, and general good construction compared to other aftermarket filters. At ~1/2 the cost of the OEM, its a good value.
