I purchased and installed two of these on my 1970 Morris "Mini" Pickup and loved them. They work great and you can see exactly how clean the filters are. I just bought two more for my 1968 Austin Cooper S. On both cars I installed one in between the gas tank and the fuel pump and another right before the carburetor.

They come with different adapters that easily screw in for different fuel line sizes. The metal ends unscrew allowing access to the filter inside. There is a rubber gasket between the glass and each metal end. I have not had any problems with leaks at all.

I was looking at this filter after I took it out of the package to see how it came apart to change the filter element.

Once I started to take the one end off, I realized that I was glad I hadn't installed the filter without looking at it because the filter element was not tight against the one end of the housing! It was instead sort of "floating" in there, and if it had been installed like that it would have let all kinds of crap get past it.

Looks like a good filter but double check the assembly on yours!

Very solid design, even attractive in its filter-like way. But if you're going to use the included hose barbs, which are in three convenient sizes, make sure to put a decent pipe sealant paste on the plastic threads before screwing them on. The lubrication will make the job a lot easier, and will help prevent leakage around the barb.

Great value and you have to throw away less when its time to replace them. I use them on my 87' truck and just bought this for my lawn mower. Works great and fits three different fuel line sizes so its a bargain considering the crappy plastic filters that your "supposed" to buy for your lawn tractor cost the same or more and you have to throw the whole thing out when its done. I like that the viewing glass never fades with heat like the plastic filters do because it is made of glass! Novel idea. Great value and the free shipping makes them irresistible.

Installed this filter between fuel pump and final 5 micron filter, was trying to catch anything large from stopping up my final filter. The product says unuiversal but I believe the o-ring that seals the body is not rated for diesel. It did fine for about a week just sitting after running the truck once, not a daily driver. Then I started seeing small bubbles coming up in the filter, now when I cut it off I can watch the fuel run out of it. I can't find anything tht says it's not for diesels just not injected vehicles. I know that all diesels are but this is before the IP and the fuel pump is a mech. only rated for 6psi and somthing like 30gph so it is not in the high pressure side of the system.
