I recently bought an used 2011 Nissan Sentra SR. Whenever I start the AC, the car smelled like mold (similar to old dirty socks). This filter replaced the (what I believe was) the stock filter that was left to rot by the previous owner. The stock filter was so dirty that I am surprised I didn't catch some kind of disease by breathing the air, but then again, I haven't been to the doctor to get tested. Since I changed the filter, the AC has a pleasant smell, and by pleasant I mean it doesn't stink. I can't say that the installation was a breeze, but, compared to my Mazda 3, it was easy.
