When I purchased my Prius I purchased the extended warranty and service package. After my "free" 15,000 mile check up and tire rotation Toyota said my air filter was bad it my extended service package was not going to cover the cost. They wanted me to pay something like $65 bucks to replace the filter. Which is kinda upsetting and ridiculous. Anyway purchased this filter from Amazon and it was the exact filter that is needed for my 2012 Prius and was CRAZY simple to replace.

I purchased 2 air filters in order to replace the engine air filter and the air conditioning filter myself. It was a lot cheaper and easier than paying to have it done. This air filter was a perfect fit for my 2010 Toyota Prius! It took about 5 minutes to replace both filters.

Raise the hood, unsnap two clips, slide out the old filter and slide the new one in and re-snap the clips.. Actually for once; " changing it in less than five minutes" is true. This is a Toyota part if you are worried about warranty. I changed both the cabin air filter and this engine filter in less than 15 minutes and saved myself over $60 if I paid the dealer to do it. The Youtube videos are helpful if you need them.
