I like my tires to look very black, with just a hint of gloss, much like licorice or a black twizler looks. This stuff delivers. Goes on easy, spreads far and you get a lot for your money.

This is a water based product, so after a rain or two, the looks will fade to a nice matte black. It does not turn tires brown, it makes them very black. If you want something that makes it through several rain storms, you are going to have to get a silicone based (oily) product. And those are a mess to deal with when it comes to your next wash. The tires will brown a bit, you'll need degreaser to get the tires clean again, and then you'll have to re-apply.

With Optibond, the next application is even easier. If the looks fade, it take 3 minutes to re-apply.

If you don't like the shiny greasy look you get with nearly every tire treatment for sale at the local auto parts store. And you don't like those with silicones that turn your tires brown or grey over time. And you're tired of products that disappear after driving in the rain for one day. This is the product for you. I just dab a bit on a rag, wipe it on after I've washed the car, and the tires stay nice and black with a satin sheen. The only downside is it's not cheap, but it seems the large bottle will last a while.

For starters, this is a big bottle of Tire Gel. You don't need very much (1 line on an applicator gets you around 1/2 of the tire). It dries quickly and leaves a nice clean shine. Apply a second coat if you want more shine. It does not attract dust and dirt so you can expect that clean look to last a while. It works on plastic as well.

I've only had the opportunity to use this a few times, but I'm impressed with the results so far. Application couldn't be easier. It adheres to the tire wall very well and doesn't leave a greasy feel. It almost seems like it absorbs into the tire. You won't have to worry about 'tire sling' with this product. Tires are left with a clean matte black look. Okay, maybe a hint of gloss, but it's nothing like that over-the-top wet look from cheap sprays. Very professional look. I also applied it to some vinyl body panels and was pleased with the appearance. Durability has been very impressive. The product does not attract dust, has great staying power in the rain, and keeps tires looking black for greater than two weeks. Overall, a great tire product.
