I had tried everything in the book trying to get the water spots off my side windows and nothing seemed to work. I even asked a glass repair man if he knew what I could use to get the water stains off my windows and he said that people ask him all the time and that he had no clue. After Google pointed me to this product, I decided to buy it. Yes it is expensive, but the results after just one application with a drill attachment were amazing. I'm going to need to go back for another application or two, but I'm actually looking forward to it. My glass looks brand new again and I couldn't be happier with the results. I don't know what results a hand application would bring, but using a drill buffer attachment is the way to go. Word of advice, don't try this product on any painted surfaces like I did. It did get rid of the water spots on the cheap black metal painted surfaces, but it also left spiral marks. Maybe on something like that, a hand application might work, just don't use the drill on that. Now I'm a proud owner of a beautiful Lexus LS430 with crystal clear windows.Best Deals for Detailer's Pro Series High Performance Glass Restorer 16oz.
I've been using Detailer's Pride products at my detailing shop for several years now. I like some DP products more than others, but the High Performance Glass Restorer ranks among my favorites.I've used it both by hand (with the German Polish N' Wax Applicator) and with a DA machine polisher. Both methods are pretty equally affective. Just with a hand application, I've managed to completely remove dings and etching in auto glass caused by gravel, bird droppings, insects, window stickers, etc.
Out of curiosity one day, I tried it out on my glass shower doors (you know, they're all pretty and open-looking until a few months go by and they're so grimy with soap scum, you can't see through them anymore). Wouldn't you know it; the Glass Restorer works like a charm! I've managed to make shower enclosures of swinging glass, sliding glass, and glass block look brand new; again, just with a hand application!
I should mention that I've tried to use it to remove mineral etching from rain, and also that hard-to-see swirling on windshields that make on-coming headlights a little blinding. The polish isn't quite fine enough for those things.
But on the whole, I have no complaints with this product and I'd readily recommend it for auto and home use!
