I own a brand new Chrysler 300C. I tried washing it at home with my hard water and even though I dried it ASAP, it still badly spotted the windows so I ordered several products including the DP High Performance Glass Restorer. One of the windows had to be replaced under warranty due to a previous scratch, so it became my test window (good thing or I would have been very angry.) As it is a brand new car, the windows have no marks of any kind. I ordered and tried 3 products, The DP High Performance Glass Restorer, Diamondite (kit) and Spot-X ... see the other 2 products for their positive reviews (with both the good and bad noted.) The other 2 products pads did lightly scratch but the products themselves didn't scratch the window. On the other hand, this stuff ... you might as well be using lava grit. On a wet soft cotton cloth, with a pre-wetted window, after having shook the bottle very well, this stuff scratched the glass BADLY right from the start even with little pressure. I would never use nor recommend this product and it quickly got trashed to ensure that it was never used in my home. Depending on the use, go with the Diamonite or the Spot-X instead.

I had tried everything in the book trying to get the water spots off my side windows and nothing seemed to work. I even asked a glass repair man if he knew what I could use to get the water stains off my windows and he said that people ask him all the time and that he had no clue. After Google pointed me to this product, I decided to buy it. Yes it is expensive, but the results after just one application with a drill attachment were amazing. I'm going to need to go back for another application or two, but I'm actually looking forward to it. My glass looks brand new again and I couldn't be happier with the results. I don't know what results a hand application would bring, but using a drill buffer attachment is the way to go. Word of advice, don't try this product on any painted surfaces like I did. It did get rid of the water spots on the cheap black metal painted surfaces, but it also left spiral marks. Maybe on something like that, a hand application might work, just don't use the drill on that. Now I'm a proud owner of a beautiful Lexus LS430 with crystal clear windows.

I've been using Detailer's Pride products at my detailing shop for several years now. I like some DP products more than others, but the High Performance Glass Restorer ranks among my favorites.

I've used it both by hand (with the German Polish N' Wax Applicator) and with a DA machine polisher. Both methods are pretty equally affective. Just with a hand application, I've managed to completely remove dings and etching in auto glass caused by gravel, bird droppings, insects, window stickers, etc.

Out of curiosity one day, I tried it out on my glass shower doors (you know, they're all pretty and open-looking until a few months go by and they're so grimy with soap scum, you can't see through them anymore). Wouldn't you know it; the Glass Restorer works like a charm! I've managed to make shower enclosures of swinging glass, sliding glass, and glass block look brand new; again, just with a hand application!

I should mention that I've tried to use it to remove mineral etching from rain, and also that hard-to-see swirling on windshields that make on-coming headlights a little blinding. The polish isn't quite fine enough for those things.

But on the whole, I have no complaints with this product and I'd readily recommend it for auto and home use!

this product works great, i have a 2003 nissan 350z it has those hard water stains and water spots that would not come off the windows no matter what i tryed, i bought this and you apply it like wax onto ur windows but you have to scrub it in really hard working in small sections at a time and it took me multiple applications but well worth the time, you will watch the water spots dissapear as your wiping!! make sure this stuff doesnt touch ur paint it will scratch it like no tomarrow.
