VW replacement filter for the 2.0T. I've used Fram filters since Reagan was president. Outstanding reliability and proven performance. All my vehicles have gone at least 225,000 miles using Fram. It's my favorite.

My VW Jetta uses Castrol Edge Full Synthetic oil. The reccomended oil change interval is every 10,000. The last time I changed my oil was at the 50,000 mile mark. The Fram oil filter was beyond spent. I will be using a Mobil 1 oil filter from now on along with the Castrol oil. Moble 1 is supposed to be better and/ or have higher specs.

It does its' job, and is about the standard when it comes to oil filters for the '06+ Volkswagen GTI.

NOTE: A few years ago, FRAM was still using German-made filters as each filter was stamped with 'Made in Germany', I'm sure there are still a few of these in stock but recent productions are all Chinese made, and the (lack of) quality shows.

Awesome filter for my vw gti 06 . Autopart store charges 15. dealer charges 70 for oil change. Can't beat the deal. Only prob is oil comes out dark at 3 k, but not the norm. Gonna try Mobil 1 filter. Any one have the same prob or an answer.
