I hate wipers! In order to avoid using them, I applied Rain X every few weeks. A few swipes with the wipers and it wore away. Based on reviews for Aquapel, I decided to give it a try. It performs no better than a fresh application Rain X, but the rain repellent properties last for months rather than days. Not perfect, but pretty close.

I've been a RainX user since the early 80's. Bought the 4-pack of Aquapel to try on my cars. As someone else mentioned, it's not as slick as a freshly applied layer of RainX-more like the second week after RainX-but it does last longer.

So why won't I buy it again? Cost-three bucks for a single application. And stingy amount of liquid in the applicators-not enough to make it all the way across the windshield of my wife's minivan, and just barely covers my Saab windshield. If it were cheaper, if it had more liquid in the applicators-or just came in a squeeze bottle like RainX-I'd get it for how long-lasting it is. But I'd rather use RainX, even if I have to put it on more often.

Way better than the other leading product! I had to buff it in quite a bit, but it works great. Even the smallest beads of water run right off the windshield.

This is far and away the best windshield glass treatment available. I initially had it applied at my repair shop for $15 and then found I could buy it for much less. It is simple to apply and last for many months. While driving in heavy rain it is almost better to drive without your wipers as the water is forced up over your windshield. Don't even think about any other product-You Tube videos show the difference.

Ever since my mechanic gave me one of these applicators for free, I've been hooked. I've bought and applied one every 6 months to my windshield, and the difference is amazing. When it's raining, if I'm driving at highway speeds, I don't need my windshield wipers because the rain just beads right off the windshield!

Recently I've had to turn to Amazon for purchasing these applicators because my local yellow and blue auto parts store has stopped carrying these, so I'm glad I can still find them online.

Here are a few things to note about the product:

* Works for about 6 months. These applications are NOT permanent, and this is by design!

* The more you use your windshield wipers, the more this stuff rubs off, so once you have applied it, go easy on the wiper usage!

* Follow the application instructions on the product very carefully! The outdoor conditions and how you apply it make a big difference!

After seeing the difference firsthand, I am a lifelong Aquapel customer. I would recommend these to anyone that owns a car and hates having rainwater stick to your windshield when you're driving.
