While shopping for fuel filters, I noticed that many "Name Brands" are now made in India, Mexico, and/or China (mostly China), and that the FRAM filters that I had relied on for years were now made in China, also. Too many Americans out of work these days, so I opted for the Genuine Motorcraft Parts, hoping that at least they would be made in the USA.
BINGO, we have a winner !!
For those who care, you'll be glad to know that both the Motorcraft Fuel Filter #FG800A and the Motorcraft Transmission Filter #FT100 are both made right here in the USA !!
I ordered both for my 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis V-8 restoration -and saved money on the free shipping.
My parts arrived promptly and in perfect condition.
Note: The #FG800 Fuel Filter fits many models of Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles from 1983-2007. These filters cannot be cleaned and/or re-used, and the Ford Factory Shop Manual specifies the #FG800A Fuel Filters should be replaced every 24,000 miles (35,000km).
A partially-clogged fuel filter will make the fuel pump work harder and run hotter which can cause a dangerous pressure buildup in the fuel tank and evaporative emissions systems during summer trips -and the ultimate problem: fuel pump failure!!
To be safe without being crazy-careful, I change my fuel filters yearly, regardless of mileage -with never a leak, a clog, or a fuel pump failure.
Ford Motor Co. recommends Transmission Filter #FT100 should be replaced every 30,000 miles (48,000km). I follow that recommendation, and use Valvoline Synthetic Transmission Fluid running through a B&M 13,000 BTU Transmission Cooler. * Fluid and Trans Cooler both available at Amazon* No worries !!

This is made in the good old USA. I recommend it. Change this on a regular basis and it will surely help keep you from major issues later.
