Seems identical to OEM part. Would definitely buy again. Comes with the o-rings, one of which is for the oil plug. I didn't realize that until I replaced the plug and under carriage cover.

Looks and fits exactly the same as the OEM fitler. Comes with all the correct o-rings and washer for the oil plug. I trust K&N provides quality products so what more could you ask for? I would definitely recommend it!

I've found this to be the best quality and value filter for BMW X5.... It's just a good filter, what else can I say I can feel the car react stronger for a longer time. .... But then, I do change oil on time, as well as spark plugs, so the combination of all three could be what's making this seem like a great fit. Either way, it's great for BMW's

I used K&N filters for my previous car, a 2001 BMW 325i, all all was well. However, I now have a 2008 328Xi and my experience with K&N has so-far been negative. When I changed the oil recently and opened up the oil filter enclosure, the old K&N was partially collapsed and there was actually a space in the filter where unfiltered oil could get through. I put in the New K&N I'd just purchased but decided to research a different filter. I found on the BMW user forums that the Mann HU 816X was people's preferred filter. I ordered one and as soon as it arrived I pulled out the recently installed K&N. The Mann just seems to be a better fit. The K&N's inside diameter did not fit snuggly on the cage/stem that sticks out of the filter housing cover. I'll check the Mann in a few months to see how it held up compared to the K&N.
