The review expressed by Ed about Rain-X leaving a haze is correct, but there is an easy way to resolve it. After the initial application and removal with a regular cloth, the secret is to use a sprayer filled with water, mist the Rain-Xed window and remove the moisture with a paper towel. Ed's complaint is a common one experienced by other Rain-X users. At one time people were complaining so much about the halo problem that Rain-X actually included directions to spray mist the window after initial application and remove with a dry cloth or paper towel. They have since dropped that important final step which, I'm sure, is leading many others like Ed to be turned off by an excellent product. I have been using Rain-X treatment for 10 years and just happened to discover the secret step after I became frustrated with the results of the instruction given by Rain-X. Once having discovered and using this final step, the product continues to amaze with its water repellency. Many times I've driven on expressways in pouring rain without the need for using windshield wipers. The water just rolls off in beads and leaves an almost clear windshield. I use Rain-X on all of the windows in the car, including the side-view mirrors.

Have used the liquid for years. Tried the wax and it lasts longer. Use in combination with Meguiar's Soft Wash. Best combination to repel water I've found. Will keep using as long as it's available.

I have been waxing my windshield with rainx for about 10 years now. It is very easy to use, I just but a bit on a paper towel or foam applicator pad and apply it in swirls to the windshield (just like waxing a car). By then time I'm done applying it's ready to be buffed off. I have read some people complaining that it is difficult to buff this off. I have never had an issue, but maybe that's because I don't leave it on for very long.

In use I see the rainwater bleed off my windshield at speeds as low as 35mph, though its really effective starting around 50mph.

One bottle goes a long way too! I had the same bottle for about 10 years, the only reason I bought a new bottle is not because I ran out, but because the old one started to get gunky... even still ...in that gunk state it still worked! it just made a mess..

I've used this product in the past and it works well, as it applies as wax instead of the traditional thin liquid. just can't find it in the auto stores and had to go online for it.
